Beyond the Business Case

The building and construction industry plays a critical role in achieving global sustainability, especially in tackling the global climate crisis.  The scope and breadth of sustainability encompassed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is an integral part of the business case for global real estate.  The SDGs in constructing buildings and infrastructure must consider all stages of the building and construction lifecycle of the built environment components.  Meeting SDGs for sustainable building performance leads to the creation of better quality and higher value assets as well as compliance with incoming building regulations and market and consumer expectations.  Considering the wider value proposition strengthens the business case for a sustainable built environment.
