A transaction between affiliated companies (i.e., between a parent company and one of its subsidiaries or between a parent’s subsidiaries), which must be considered and eliminated for the consolidation of affiliates.
Comment:
Not to be confused with "intracompany transaction" – a transaction that occurs within a company.
